உடல்வாகு அதிகம் உள்ளவர்கள், குரல்வளையில் சதை வளர்ந்திருப்பவர்கள், தொற்று பாதிப்பு உள்ளவர்கள், மன  அழுத்தம் மிக்கவர்களுக்கு எளிதாக வரும்.

குறட்டை ஆனது காற்று முச்சுகுழல் வழியே சென்று நுரையிரலை அடைகிறது அப்போது தொண்டையில் ஏற்படும் இடையுறு காரணமாக குறட்டை ஏற்படுகிறது.
